Chandigarh Airport is located in the Union Territory of Chandigarh, which is the capital of Punjab and Haryana. The airport is one the busiest domestic airport in the Northern India. Soon, there are plans to start the international services too and the work of international terminal is progressing. There are almost of 19 domestic flights now being operated from the Chandigarh airport, connected this industrial city to the other key destinations in India. A large number of passengers too access Chandigarh Airport to meet their domestic travel needs.

The new international terminal of the airport is being built at the city of Mohali. There are world class facilities being incorporated in the new terminal like three link taxiways, parallel track for taxi, as well as independent cargo complex etc. Also an additional hanger for the flying clubs is being planned. New terminal will also feature 4 aerobridges as well as eight remote parking stands for the wide-body aircraft.
